The Pentagons, Then and After
Songs of the 50’s, 60's and 70’s Featuring Joe C. Jones
#TG1050

Back to current releases

These are The Pentagons, a self-contained group, as they appeared on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. They wrote their own material, popular in the 50’s and early 60’s, with songs like the classic “To Be Loved” (number 48 on the charts) and their 1961 hit “I Wonder”.

Joe C. Jones was in his teens as lead singer for the group, and went on to become a solo artist for A & M and other labels, and performed many concert venues. The last four songs on the CD were recorded in the 70’s. I have produced and been associated with many groups and artists, but listening to the lead singer of this group, Joe C. Jones, has always been a satisfying pleasure.
I hope you also enjoy.
